For the unusual vacation: Go to Jamaica, mon: "Ghosts were the farthest thing from my mind as I lazed on the sun-warmed beach at Half Moon Resort near Montego Bay, Jamaica. Ditto for zooming down a 'bobsled' track, dangling from a line skinnier than my finger to swoop through high canopy jungle, climbing a waterfall and meeting a musher -- when you arrive in the sun in winter, you just want to lap up the warmth."
