Caribbean top Christmas escape: "Holidaymakers from all over the world see the Caribbean as the ultimate festive escape destination, research out today reveals.

A survey from the travel community website TripAdvisor finds hot, sunny and tropical destinations took the top two spots, with the Caribbean followed by Hawaii.

However, in third and fourth place were the cold but romantic cities of Paris and New York, with fellow global metropolis London lagging behind in eighth place."
